I wanted to create a google form that would allow for one of the questions to schedule an event. I did this and connected it to a google sheet where I had the scheduled lines separated and moved to another tab. I then wanted to have the information on the scheduled tab be the information added to my calendar. I had to change the script slightly to have it call out for the specific tab, but even though when I run the script it says it works, nothing is moved to the calendar. what do I do now?

Nice video! I was wondering how I could use a dropdown menu to subtotal all the cells in the column next to it in each category. Example: travel expense is subcategorized into lodging, entertainment, transportation etc...by using a drop down menu in the cell to the left of the expense amount. I want it to total all transportation ... into a single cell. Thank you so much in advance.

Is it possible to have unevenly sized/ adjustable columns in Google docs? I was only able to achieve this using the table feature.

I dont know if things simply changed in 2024, but I dont get all the windows at the bottom for the debugger. All I get is a panel at the right-hand side that says "variables" and it shows my variables with an arrow to expand, but expanding them only shows me the functions I can use on them. Expanding such a function will NOT show me any useful information. They all show length 0, name "", arguments null and caller null. For every single variable and every single function I have checked. You'd think that it would show the value in getValue, but no. I'm trying to script for the first time, all good tutorials are from years ago and I'm at my wit's end because my debugger doesn't look anywhere close to what the videos show 😢 I know a bit of Java so I'm figuring some simple things out at I go (and for those things the debugger also doesn't show anything useful), but just a tad more advanced is already not working, likely because I just dont know the correct functions/methods and perhaps syntax, I mean its a different language. But the debugger should help me figure out what DOES go right and where it goes wrong, so that I can properly look that up.... except it doesnt.

Suppose I am added to a shared drive and I am the manager there. Apart from that, there are no other members added; it's only me in there. Now, if I upload any files there, will anyone else have access to those files like being able to see them? Like the organization or someone above me? Or if im removed from accessing it? Note that there are no other members than me in that shared drive.

Could you please assist me with my issue? I need to transfer data from one Google Sheet to another. The complication arises because my source data contains columns in both French and English. For example, I need the "Name" column data to be copied into the "Nom" column in the target sheet. Similarly, the "Nom" column (French version) in the source data should also be copied into the "Nom" column in the target sheet. I would like to know if this is feasible.

Love your clear explanations - video is great. I just wanted to know if it should update automatically on the calendar every time you add an new event to the spreadsheet or is it a one off upload ? Mine doesnt seem to do it.

How would you handle event cancelations? Just tell people to decline the invite and re-submit the form for a new time or is there a better way to handle with scripts?
